BERTINORO, OBADIAH, Jewish commentator of the Mishnah, died in Jerusalem about I Soo. He much improved the status of Jews in Palestine. His commentary on the Mishnah was translated by Surenhusius (Latin ed., Amsterdam 1698-1703).
