BROCKVILLE, port of entry, Ontario, Canada, capital of Leeds county, named after General Sir Isaac Brock, situated S.W. of Montreal, on the left bank of the St. Lawrence, and Canadian National railway, with a branch to the Canadian Pacific. Steamers go to St. Lawrence and Lake Ontario ports, and it is a summer resort. Hardware, furnaces, agricultural im plements, automobiles, motor boats and chemicals are made. It is an important dairy-centre, and ships large quantities of cheese and butter. Pop. (1931) 9,736.
