CALEXICO, a city of Imperial county (Calif.), U.S.A., on the international border, opposite the Mexican city Mexicali; a port of entry, and the gateway to the Mexican Imperial valley. It is served by the Southern Pacific railway lines. The region pro duces cotton, fruit and live stock, and the city has large cotton gins. The population was 797 in 1910; 6,299 in 193o. The city was incorporated in 1908.
