CARBONURIA, the presence of carbon in the urine. This is normally present as an end product of metabolism. It is found mainly in the form of carbon dioxide but small quantities of the element are also present. Anything causing an increase of metab olism will increase the quantity of carbon. After illuminating gas poisoning it is found in the form of carbon monoxide.
