CATLETTSBURG, a residential city of north-eastern Ken tucky, U.S.A., on the Ohio river, at the mouth of the Big Sandy, where Ohio, West Virginia and Kentucky meet ; the county seat of Boyd county. It is on Federal highway 6o and the Chesapeake and Ohio railway. The population in 1920 was 4,183 (95% na tive white), and was 5,025 in 1930 by the Federal census. Catletts burg has no manufactures of consequence, but is connected by electric car lines with the neighbouring industrial cities, Ashland, Kentucky, and Huntington, West Virginia.
