CEDARTOWN, a city of Georgia, U.S.A., 52m. west-north west of Atlanta, served by the Central of Georgia and the Seaboard Air Line railways; the county seat of Polk county. Hydro-electric power is available and the town has railroad shops, cotton mills, a tyre and rubber factory and various other manufacturing industries. It was incorporated as a city in 1898.
