COIN, a town of southern Spain, in the province of Malaga, 18m. by rail W.S.W. of Malaga. Pop. (193o) 15,03 2. Coin, on the north slope of the Sierra de Mijas, is the centre of a rich agricul tural district. It exports large quantities of oranges, lemons, grapes and raisins, and marble from neighbouring quarries.
