CREWKERNE, a market town and urban district of Somer setshire, England, on the S.R., 8m. S.W. of Yeovil. Pop. (1931) It is pleasantly situated in the upper valley of the river Parret. The fine church of St. Bartholomew is in the Perpendicu lar style characteristic of the district ; the west front is especially notable. The grammar school dates from but occupies modern buildings.
