CUSHIOG, a city of Payne county, Oklahoma, U.S.A., Tom. N.E. of Oklahoma City, near the Cimarron river. It is served by the Missouri-Kansas-Texas and the Santa Fe railways. In 190o the population was 826; in 192o, 6,326; and it was 9,301 in 193o by the Federal census. Cushing is in the oil, gas and cotton belt of Oklahoma. It has cotton gins and compresses, lumber and brick yards, and 14 oil refineries. It was settled about 1892, and incorporated in
