CYCLOSTYLE, in architecture, a term applied to a struc ture consisting of a simple ring of columns with or without a roof, but with no interior walls or divisions. The name is also applied to an apparatus for producing a number of copies of letters or docu ments, either written or typewritten. This is effected on the prin ciple of a stencil (q.v.) by means of a specially prepared paper. The pen or type perforates the paper and when an inked roller is passed over it the written matter is transferred to a sheet of paper placed beneath it.
