DONORA, a borough of Washington county, Pa., U.S.A., on the Monongahela river and the Pennsylvania railroad, 2om. S. by E. of Pittsburgh. The population in 1920 was 14,131 ; in 193o it was 13,905. It is an important manufacturing centre of the Pittsburgh district, producing steel, nails, wire, zinc and chemicals.

After entering politics as an advanced liberal, he made a complete volte-f ace after 1848, and in his Ensayo sobre el catolicismo, el liberalismo, y el socialismo, considerados en sus principios fundamentales (185r), denounced reason as the enemy of truth and liberalism as leading to social ruin. With all its rhetorical excesses, the Ensayo remains one of the finest specimens of impassioned prose published in Spain during the i9th century.
