EAST PALESTINE, a city of Columbiana county, Ohio, U.S.A., on the Pennsylvania railroad, near the eastern boundary of the State, 20m. S. by E. of Youngstown, pop. (1920), 5,75o; 1930 it was 5,215. Coal. fire clay and oil-shales abound; it has manufactures of automobile tyres, chinaware, electrical refrac tories and wiring devices, steel storage tanks for gas and oil and various other articles. It is in the finest orchard district of the State.
