LARCENY.

Embezzlement, not having existed at the common law, is a crime as provided by the several States in the United States. Embezzlement differs from larceny in that the original taking was lawful or with the consent of the owner, misappropriation fol lowing such taking. In some States, the offence is designated as larceny with punishment as such.
