ERLANGER, CAMILLE (1863-1919), French composer, was born in May, 1863, and studied at the Paris Conservatoire. He made his reputation in 1896 with Saint-Julien l'Hospitalier, a dramatic legend, the libretto of which was founded on the story of Flaubert. His other more important works were Le Juif Polonais (I 900) , Aphrodite (i906) and La Sorciere (1912) .
