FEYDEAU, ERNEST-AIME French au thor, was born in Paris. He gained a great success with his novel Fanny (1858), followed in rapid succession by a series of similar stories. Besides his novels Feydeau wrote several plays. He died in Paris on Oct. 27, 1873, His son GEORGES (1862-1921) was a well known writer of comedy and farce. Examples are La dame de chez Maxim (1899) and On purge Bebe (1910).
