FONSAGRADA, a town of north-western Spain, in the province of Lugo; 38 m. E.N.E. of Lugo by road. Pop. (193o) 15,807. Fonsagrada, over 3,00o ft. above sea-level, is the market for the agricultural and dairy produce of the fertile valleys in the surrounding mountains, but its trade is mainly local, owing to the lack of communications beyond the Lugo-Rivadeo road which passes through the town.
