FEJER, GYORGY Hungarian author, was born on April 23, 1766, at Keszthely (Zala). He studied phil osophy at Budapest and theology at Pressburg, obtaining in 1808 a professorship of theology at Budapest university, where in 1824 he was appointed librarian. His most important work, Codex diplomaticus Hungariae ecclesiasticus ac civilis (1829-44), ex ceeds 4o volumes ; it consists of old documents and charters from A.D. 104 to 1439. His last works were A Kunok eredete (The Origin of the Huns) and A politikai forradalmak okai (The Causes of Political Revolutions), both published in 185o, the latter being suppressed by the Austrian Government on account of its liberal tendencies.
