FAGAN, JAMES BERNARD , an Irish play wright and producer whose works include Shakespeare versus Shaw, produced (1905), an adaptation of Bella Donna (191I ), The Happy Island (1913), And So to Bed (1926) and The Greater Love (1927). He studied law at Trinity college, Oxford, and was attached for a time to the Indian Civil Service; later he joined the F. R. Benson company, his principal stage appearances being in this connection and at His Majesty's theatre, London, with Sir Herbert Tree.
