FIGGIS, John Neville, English clergyman and author: b. Brighton, 2 Oct. 1866. He was educated at Brighton College. Saint Catherine's College, Cambridge, Wells Theological College. In 1894-95 he was curate of •Kettering and in 1895-98 at Great Saint Mary's, Cambridge. From 1895 to 1901 he lectured in Saint Cather ine's College and was chaplain of Pembroke Collegein 1898-1900. In 1900 he .was Btrbeck Noble lecturer at Harvard in 1911 and Bishop Paddock lecturer at the General Theological Seminary, New York in 1913. In 1915 he was Bross lecturer at Lake Forest, Ill. Since 1909 he has been a member of the Community of the Resurrection. His publications include (1907); (1913); (1914)
