The Duke of Wildesoberg cave him the direction of the new Univer sity of TilbInges. in 1511 be was charged by Henry duke of Saxony with refereeing the University of Leipzig, of which he was afterwards appDktted rector. in 1563 the Emperor Maximilian, who had called to Vienna to consult him about some important atate-affairs, wished to retain him a. Ile councillor, but Camerariue declined the ace on amount of his Infirmities. Ile died at Leipzig in April, 1574.
